Robyn Tullius – Director in Charge Judging Friday 8:00 pm in the Home Arts Building
Pre-entries will be taken in this department
Articles must be brought to the Home Arts building from 2:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday before the fair. EXCEPTIONS- Baked Goods: can be brought in on Thursday between 2:00 pm and 6:00pm.
All entries in this department must be in the Home Arts building by 8:00pm Thursday. Judging will take place Friday evening. The decisions judges are final.
All exhibitors, 18 and over, must purchase a current membership or season ticket. The fair ticket will serve as the exhibitor’s number.
Each article must be new and clean, as cleanliness will be considered in awarding of premiums. No purchased articles may complete in this department.
Articles exhibited must have been made by the exhibitor within the past two years.
All exhibitors will complete their own entry ticket, attach that ticket to their articles and place it in the designated location in the Home Arts Building.
The Home Arts Department is limited to Washington County residents and adjoining counties in Ohio and West Virginia.
Junior Fair Division is for Washington County residents only.
In all categories, there are three divisions
PROFESSIONAL – limited to a total of 10 entries
NON-PROFESSIONAL – does not sell on a regular basis or teach on a paying basis
JUNIOR – (under age 18) all articles must be made by Junior and each entry (up to 5 entries) will receive a $1.00 award. You are allowed to enter as many items as you wish but there will be a limit of $5.00 awarded. Placing ribbons of 1-3 will be awarded in each classification with no premiums.
The exhibitor’s fair ticket will serve his/her claim check and must be shown to retrieve articles at fair closing Tuesday, after 6:00pm. All articles must be removed from the Home Arts Building by 8:00pm Tuesday. Articles left unclaimed will be left at the exhibitor’s risk.
The fair board does not guarantee the safety of any article left for exhibition, but will take every precaution to ensure the safety of the exhibit to the best of their ability. (No exhibitor in any of the three divisions may receive more than two prizes or premiums within a class.)
No articles can be sold or advertised while on display at the fair.
A single entry (no competition) may not necessarily receive the first award. This remains the decision of the judges.
