Parking and Traffic Rules

David Tornes, Director in Charge

  1. $1 per day per vehicle will be charged for parking.
  2. All vehicles will be parked in either the Golf Driving Range Area on the east side of the Fair Grounds, off Fair Avenue or in the Little League Ball Field area on the west side of the Fair Grounds, off Lincoln Street.
    Exceptions:
    A.   Fair Board Members (Junior and Senior) may park their vehicles in the area designated just off Fair Avenue on the Driving Range.
    B.   Cattle and horse exhibitors may use the grassy area in the southeast comer of the Fair Grounds outside of the Putt Putt Golf.
    C.   Sheep and goat exhibitors may use the grassy area on the north side of the Sheep and Goat bam outside of the Putt Putt Golf.
    D.   Service vehicles (ice truck, milk truck, meat truck, bread truck) may park in the grassy area in front of the pool building entrance.
    E.   Race horse judges may park inside the racetrack but are asked to come in through the Horse Barn Gate.
  3. All service vehicles are being asked to make their deliveries before 9:00 a.m.
  4. Exhibitors may deliver necessary items to the Pool Gate between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. each day. Garden tractors with trailers will be available to make deliveries inside the Fair Grounds. No exhibitors' vehicles will be permitted inside the gates during the Fair. All exhibitors must be outside the gates by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
  5. Trucks and trailers bringing cattle and hay onto the Fair Grounds may use the Cattle Bam Gate but must move directly out after unloading. You will not be allowed to park your vehicle inside the gate and move it at a later time. Trucks bringing feed and supplies in to the cattle may use the Cattle Barn Gate during designated hours, but must unload and move directly out to the Exhibitors Parking Area. You are not allowed to park your vehicle inside the fence.
  6. Speed Passes - These passes entitle vehicles to enter the Horse Barn Gate on the southwest corner of the Fair Grounds. These vehicles are to remain in the horse bam area.
  7. Tractor Pullers, Truck Pullers, and Demolition Derby entrants will use the Wilson Barn Gate off Pennsylvania Avenue. They will have to park in the Wilson Gate area until allowed to cross the track to the infield; pit passes will be procured before crossing the track.
  8. It is our intent to limit vehicular traffic to the Horse Barn Gate. We are asking for your cooperation. We know that there are times when there is very little pedestrian traffic and you would like to use a closer gate than the one designated, but it is very difficult to leave those types of decisions up to the person attending the gate.
