All birds must show proof of pullorum/fowl typhoid disease test.  Tester available during check-in. 

ENTRY FEE
Pre-entries will be limited to Washington County and adjoining counties in Ohio and West Virginia.
A $1.00 entry fee per cage will be charged at check-in.

  • It is preferred that all pre-entries be received by August 15, 2011.
  • Exhibitors must purchase a Membership Fair Ticket, Season Ticket.
  • Only the breeds listed which are recognized by the American Standard of Perfection may be exhibited.
  • Exhibits need to be checked in between 2:00 and 10:00 p.m. on Friday. No exceptions.
  • No entries after 10:00 p.m. on Friday.

RULES

  1. The American Standard of Perfection will be the guide for the judge in awarding premiums.
  2. There will be a limit of 50 birds per exhibitor.
  3. Exhibitor is limited to no more than 2 cocks, 2 cockerel, 2 hens and 2 pullets per breed.
  4. Each Exhibitor will be responsible to furnish a balanced ration, care and feeding of all birds entered and/ or ex-hibited during the Fair.
  5. All cages must be cleaned daily.
  6. No cards or advertising matter of any description will be allowed on coops until the Judge has judged the birds.
  7. Every precaution will be taken to protect the exhibits, but the Fair Board will not be responsible for any loss that may occur.
  8. Exhibitors must be owners of the fowls they exhibit. Combination exhibits are strictly forbidden. Any attempt to evade this rule or any false statement in regard to age will exclude the exhibitor from competing in any class.
  9. Exhibitors are requested to see that entry tags are placed on each coop.
  10. Junior Fair Exhibitors are given first priority to pen assignments.

DEFINITIONS

  1. COCK - a male bird hatched prior to the current Fair year
  2. COCKEREL - a male bird hatched during the current Fair year
  3. HEN - a female bird hatched prior to the current Fair year
  4. PULLET - a female bird hatched during the current Fair year
