Sheep Lead Class

  • The purpose of this competition is to present sheep in an attractive manner and to promote the use of wool.  The animal may be a market animal, ewe lamb or yearling ewe, and must be led by a halter.
  • The entrant will be judged on his/her outfit and appearance, which must be appropriate, attractive and lend distracting to the class.
  • Outfits must be at least 50% wool.  The garments may be either handmade or purchased.  Entrants are discouraged from repeating outfits from previous years.
  • Decoration of the animal will have some affect on the points given.

  1. Pee Wee (0 - 4 years old)
  2. Pee Wee (5 – 8 years old)
  3. Juniors (9 – 12 yrs old)
  4. Intermediate (13 – 18 yrs old)
  5. Seniors (19 yrs old and over)
